Bright gold new growth, medium green older growth presents a wonderful contrast. Only grows 10 feet tall with an 8 to 10 foot spread. Pyramidal form with feathery foliage and unique layered habit. Beautiful to begin with - absolutely striking as it matures!

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii'

Strikingly bright new growth is especially prominent on top half of plant. Willowy, open, layered branches. Grows 15-20 feet tall and 10-15 feet wide, but is not particularly fast growing. Absolutely striking color, form and texture. One of our favorites - we have it in multiple sizes.

Bright golden-yellow new growth remains prominent throughout the growing year. Grows 10+ feet tall and 5+ feet wide. Relatively slow growing. Nice pyramidal shape.

Picea orientalis aurea

Exceptional golden new growth that lasts on tree for more than one year. The effect is that gold is the predominant color, all year and deep into the plant. Can grow 25+ feet tall. Growth is slow at first but picks up speed with age. Maturing trees are absolutely striking.

Aucuba japonica ‘Goldstrike’
(Goldstrike Japanese Aucuba)
Huge range in color on these glossy, tropical-like leaves. Older leaves can be predominantly green, newest leaves are bright gold, everything in between is a unique mottled, speckled gold and green. Can grow up to 6' tall and 6' wide. Prefers a half day of sun, tolerates heavy shade, does not like full sun. Unique texture and color can bring a wonderful change in the landscape.

Euonymus japonica 'Aureo Marginata'
(Gold Edge Japanese Euonymus)
Bright gold edges surround green centers in each leave. Plant grows 4 to 5 feet tall and wide. Profuse white flowers in early summer. Flowers are small but showy up close. Prefers full sun.

Juniperus chinensis x pfitzeriana 'Gold Lace'
(Gold Lace Juniper)
Strikingly bright new growth contrasts with increasingly dark old growth. Magnificent arching branching habit is very rare for a shrub that stays this low. Mature height is 3-5' and spread is 4-6'.

A reliable, strongly deer--resistant shrub with bright yellow new growth that turns more golden in color before maturing to a lighter green. Mature height is 6 to 8 feet with and equal spread.

Juniperus chinensis 'Gold Star'
(Gold Star Juniper)
Gold tips on new growth. Although the amount of gold on this plant is relatively modest compared to other plants the way the gold contrasts with the blue-green older growth, and the arching of the tips brings a golden touch to any landscape. Mature height is 4' and spread is 6'.

Spirea japonica 'Magic Carpet'
(Magic Carpet Spirea)
Bronze new growth that changes to gold and eventually to green. The gold effect is prominent well into summer. Pink-purple flowers in summer add to color display. Dwarf variety - only gets 2-3 feet tall and wide.

New growth is bronze, changing to goldish-yellow and eventually light green. Beautiful pink flowers in summer. Grows 2-3 feet
tall and wide.

New growth ranges from nearly white to gold and yellow, old growth is a deep green. Dwarf shrub - only gets 4-6' feet tall and wide. Wonderful combination of foliage color and growth habit.

Exceptionally bright new growth. The plant is so dense it can be hard to see the older green growth towards the center of the plant. Dwarf - only reaches a height of 3 to 4 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide, and does so very slowly.

Crimson Sentry Maple
2.5-3" caliper. Really cool variety of Crimson King Maple. Slower growing than Crimson King. Stays narrow - 15' is about as wide as it will get. Considerable debate about ultimate height - some say only 25' others say 35'. Either way it works well for narrow spaces - will not overtake a yard like many of the Norway Maple varieties.

Unique variety of Blue Spruce. Gets tall but stays narrow. 30+ foot height, but only 10-15' wide. Keeps its silvery blue color. Stays perfectly uniform as it grows.

3 Gallon. We think this is an underused Juniper. Current year's growth is bright gold, past year's growth is deep green. Wonderful arching habit to the branches. Mature height is roughly 4' and spread is 6' so it stays a reasonable size. Jumps out in any landscape because of the color and arching habit.
