Still one of the most beautiful and graceful of all evergreens. In its native habit it grows
to 80 feet tall, in ours it usually tops out at 20-25 feet with a 10-15 width. Graceful arching branches, deep green needles on the top, silver underneath. This plant tolerates pruning very well and can be shaped into a hedge if desired. Highly prone to the adelgid pest which can slowly kill the tree. Does not like wet locations. Prefers a half day of sun or more, but will live in deeper shade although it thins out substantially. We always have absolutely beautiful Hemlock.
