- If you didn't get a chance to apply Moisturin there is still time to protect sensitive plants from winter weather. Just make sure the temperature is above 35 - 40 degrees.

- Excellent time to fertilize shrubs and perennials. Allows time for fertilizer to work its way into soil so it is available in the root zone when plants break dormancy at the end of March or in early April .
- Good time to transplant trees and shrubs before they break dormancy. Also a good time to divide perennials. A key to successful transplanting is the rapid development of fibrous roots - BioPlex Transplant Concentrate speeds root development.
- Cut back ornamental grasses a few inches above the crown.
- Spring clean-up, de thatch lawns, clean winter debris, seed bare spots in lawns.
- Good time to prune trees, shrubs and roses. Avoid pruning spring-flowering shrubs until after booming is done.

- Apply first treatment of lawn fertilizer with pre-emergent herbicide (Turf Fertilizers With Pre-emergent Herbicides). This assumes that the weather did not break earlier in March. Timing of pre-emergents is vital - they must go down before weeds germinate. If we have a warm March it may be that you have to apply the fertilizer/pre-emergent earlier.
- Consider planting Annuals in late April, but beware that the frost date is still several weeks away (NJ Frost Dates) .
- We start posting our bi-weekly "Specials" and "What's Prime In The Yard" on our web site in early April. Visit us to see what's on sale and what plants are at their peak!

- Apply post-emergent herbicide to weeds in planting beds, walkways, patios etc. (Showdown or Kleen-up).
- Tropical plants and vines are in - they make great container plants. Distinguish your business by offering your customers something very few landscapers offer - Tropical Plants For Containers.
- Prune and cut back spring flowering shrubs as blooms die off.
- To control Hydrangea bloom color apply Lime around Hydrangeas to promote pink flowers and Aluminum Sulfate to promote blue flowers.

- To provide a quick shot of fertilizer to wide range of shrubs, perennials and Annuals use a water soluble fertilizer like Jack's Classic All Purpose Fertilizer. Water soluble fertilizers provide an immediate boost to plants because they are partially absorbed through the leaves, and a long-term boost when absorbed by the roots.
- It is prime season for Aphids, Whitefly, Spider Mites and variety of other insects, they may be attacking certain shrubs, perennials, and annuals - control dozen's of insects with Bonide Total Pest Control
- Prepare for Japanese Bettles with our Japanese Beetle Traps
- Continue to prune back spring flowering shrubs before they start setting next year's flower buds
- We carry a range of irrigation products
