A deciduous azalea best known for spectacular orange blooms in May. Grows 5+ feet tall, but slowly. Width is 3-4'. Overall shape is somewhat oval. Very winter hardy - bred at the University Of Minnesota. Drops it's leaves in late fall. Prefers half day of sun or more. Not only are the individual blooms beautiful but a happy plant will put out huge numbers of blooms as well - the overall effect is striking.
