Perhaps the most famous of the free-flowing, coarse textured pine trees. Every plant grows differently, no single uniform shape - instead a unique form for each plant. Grows 20-30' tall and 20+ feet wide, assumes a bonsai-like appearance as it ages. Long, coarse textured needles, not a soft appearance like white pine. Requires 1/2 day of sun or more - the more the better. Wonderful as a specimen plant, great in rows or masses too. If the uniformity and perfect shape of many pines does not appeal to you - consider this plant - every one is unique.
